The design for this 5,000 square foot home is still in progress. Starting with a wooded lot in Wakefield, Rhode Island that borders conservation land, inspiration was drawn from the surrounding property and the clients criteria for this design: a gambrel-style roof line with an open concept floor plan, first floor master suite, large great room, and a detached barn, large enough to accommodate vehicles, a workshop, and a bonus loft.
Our work on this project began by helping the owner, a general contractor in his own right; locate the future structure on the property with an eye towards maximizing sun exposure and views of a large open field and wooded valley.
We are now several months into the design of this project and are currently working on construction documents so that building can begin in the Summer of 2015.
